German Shepherd dogs, as well as the other herding breeds that we have in rescue, are highly active, energetic, working breeds. They require considerable vetting, exercise, socialization, training, leadership and mental stimuli in order to be well-adjusted, well-balanced, and well-mannered dogs. Even if you exercise and play with your dog daily in your fenced yard, you MUST still take your dog out on daily walks and outings in order to work on his/her leash skills, manners, and social skills.These breeds make great additions to active families who will pamper them, but who will also work with them, as they are smart dogs who need leadership, structure, plenty of activity and mental stimulation.

The Depp Trial Litter is looking for furever homes! These babies are Aussie / Heeler mixes, 100% cute! These kids are very sweet, active, smart, playful and sociable.
When Mac first came into rescue, he wasn’t feeling that great. After needed medication from the vet, for a parasite, he is a high energy playful pup, that we know cattle dog pups to be. He has sperts of play, but loves to nap. He has a cattle dog attitude for sure, but he is so smart he has been easy to train. Mac is working on potty training and he now sits at the door to be let out . We are working on sit stay and training on the leash in the backyard. His favorite place to nap is next to his foster sibling on the cool tile or near the floor air vents. (Smart pup!) He loves to hang in the early morning with his people, and foster sibling even shares her pallet bed, in her doggy oasis. He has so many favorite toys, but piggy and fish are his favorite. He loves his kennel and sleeps well at night. These pups will make a good addition to the right family that can give them the attention they need.
Like any of our dogs, this beautiful puppy would make a great addition to an active home that will provide the love, structure, good leadership, activity and mental stimulation that his breed needs. Because of that, Mac's ideal owner will have prior GSD or other herding breed experience, and a friendly dog buddy for Mac. Even if you exercise and play with your dog daily in your fenced yard, please remember that you MUST still take your dog out on daily walks and outings, in order to provide sufficient stimulation, ward off boredom, and work on leash skills, and manners. Mac's adoption fee is $425, all of which goes back into offseting our high-cost vetting expenses and rescuing more dogs. We are a 100% volunteer-run rescue group and rely on adoption fees and donations to continue saving lives. Adoption fees include spay/neuter, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, fecal, deworming, flea/tick and heartworm preventative, heartworm tested if old enough (and treated if positive), and microchipped.
