German Shepherd dogs, as well as the other herding breeds that we have in rescue, are highly active, energetic, working breeds. They require considerable vetting, exercise, socialization, training, leadership and mental stimuli in order to be well-adjusted, well-balanced, and well-mannered dogs. Even if you exercise and play with your dog daily in your fenced yard, you MUST still take your dog out on daily walks and outings in order to work on his/her leash skills, manners, and social skills. These breeds make great additions to active families who will pamper them, but who will also work with them, as they are smart dogs who need leadership, structure, plenty of activity and mental stimulation.

The Depp Trial Litter is looking for furever homes! These babies are half Aussie, half Heeler, 100% cute! These kids are very sweet, active, smart, playful and sociable.

Mega Pint, also known as Mega for short, loves to cuddle and give kisses. In his foster home, Mega Pint enjoys romping around the backyard with his canine brother, and lounging in the shade. His favorite toys are the ones he can chew on, and that squeak, or crinkle. Though he is very playful and energetic, he also loves to take naps on his back, with his belly up and feet in the air.

Mega is very intelligent and learns quickly. He currently knows the commands down, sit, and lay down. He is still working on perfecting the commands to come and kennel up. Foster mom does report that in typical puppy fashion, he can be rather determined (sometimes to get into trouble), but is also very trainable as he loves to be rewarded with treats! Mega is working on potty-training and is doing well. He is a great puppy!

Like any of our dogs, this beautiful puppy would make a great addition to an active home that will provide the love, structure, good leadership, activity and mental stimulation that his breed needs. Because of that, Mega Pint's ideal owner will have prior GSD or other herding breed experience, and a friendly dog buddy for Mega Pint. Even if you exercise and play with your dog daily in your fenced yard, please remember that you MUST still take your dog out on daily walks and outings, in order to provide sufficient stimulation, ward off boredom, and work on leash skills, and manners.

Mega Pint's adoption fee is $425, all of which goes back into offseting our high-cost vetting expenses and rescuing more dogs. We are a 100% volunteer-run rescue group and rely on adoption fees and donations to continue saving lives. Adoption fees include spay/neuter, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, fecal, deworming, flea/tick and heartworm preventative, heartworm tested if old enough (and treated if positive), and microchipped.
